Month-to-month Plug-In EV Gross sales In The US Exceeded 7% Of All New Mild-Obligation Car Gross sales For The First Time In September 2022

Month-to-month gross sales of recent plug-in electrical automobiles (PEV), together with all-electric automobiles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electrical automobiles (PHEV), reached 7.4% of all light-duty gross sales in September 2022, exceeding a 7% share for the primary time. Of those, 6.2% have been EVs and 1.2% have been PHEVs. From the introduction of mass-market PEVs in 2010, it took a few decade for month-to-month gross sales of PEVs to routinely exceed a 2% share of all light-duty automobile gross sales.
