Scientists on the DOE’s Argonne Nationwide Laboratory are researching options to the drawbacks of lithium-ion batteries by testing alternate supplies akin to sulfur.

Sulfur, says Argonne, is extremely cost-effective, and lithium-sulfur batteries can maintain extra power than ion-based ones.
